Productize
- Take ownership in turning ideas, prototypes, and research concepts into practical, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Apply strong engineering skills to operationalize AI solutions, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and ready for production use.
- Guide Software Engineers from a methodological, responsible AI, and product perspective when productizing prototypes.
Consult
- Support delivery teams in modeling client data, structuring domain knowledge, and fine-tuning product components to maximize value.
- Engage directly with clients in a consulting capacity, helping them understand their data, define their needs, and translate business questions into actionable analytical and technical solutions.
- Ensure that all Data Science techniques and AI models are used appropriately, responsibly, and in alignment with relevant legislation, customer requirements, and product objectives.
Work conditions
- Hybrid work setup when not traveling (60% in our Utrecht office, 40% from home).
- Travel internationally as required (up to 20% of the time, depending on project needs).
Job requirements

- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) with experience in machine learning frameworks and engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployments (Docker), cloud services (any cloud platform).
- Experience setting up or maintaining tooling such as experiment tracking (MLFlow), model registries, model serving, or CI/CD for AI systems.
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools.
- Ability to bridge the gap from exploration to design and delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real customer needs.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English, adaptable to different stakeholders and seniority levels.
